Feast of the Assumption of Blessed Virgin Mary
The month of August is dedicated to the Immaculate Heart of Mary and the date of August 15th is an annual Holy Day of Obligation on which we celebrate the Feast of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary. This Assumption is when we commemorate our belief that Mary was taken body and soul into Heaven at the end of her life.
As Knights we have a special relationship with Mary, and this Feast gives us an opportunity to refresh our dedication to Her by praying the Rosary, reflecting on the Scriptures, seeking Mary's intercession, celebrating Her triumph and attending Mass.
Feast day Masses will be celebrated at Our Lady of Lourdes starting with a Vigil Mass at 5:00 PM on Thursday, 8/14 and continuing with Masses at 8:00 AM, 10:00 AM and 7:00 PM on Friday, 8/15.
