In Honor of Our Missing Veterans The Table is Unattended
At the Assembly 1818 meeting on June 19th, 2025 charitable award checks were presented and at dinner a special tribute to our missing veterans was made, symbolized by the "unattended table" pictured and described below. Many thanks to all the Sir Knights of the Fourth Degree for all they do to honor our veterans.

The table is round to signify that our love and concern is never ending, the white tablecloth is purity. The black napkin is for the emptiness left in the hearts of their family and friends. The Red Rose reminds us of the life of each missing warrior. The vase tied with a yellow ribbon, a symbol of continued hope. The slice of lemon reminds us of those captured and missing in foreign land. A pinch of salt for the tears endured by those missing and their families who seek an answer. The Bible represents our faith to sustain those lost from our country. The inverted glass their inability to toast with us. The empty Chair depicts an unknown face, representing all who are not with us. The Rosary Beads is our prayer to our Mother Mary on their behalf.
The Candle is reminiscent of the light of hope that lives in our hearts to illuminate their way home, to the open arms of a great nation.
