“The world around us says that we should keep our beliefs to ourselves whenever they go against the tyranny of diversity, equity and inclusion.”
That’s what Harrison Butker told students in his recent commencement address at Benedictine College.
And now some left-wing groups want to give Butker the boot.
Even the NFL felt the need to issue a public statement distancing themselves from Butker – while emphasizing the importance of “inclusion.”
What exactly was his offense?
In his speech to the class of 2024, Harrison Butker called on Catholics to live up to the high ideals of our Faith, including the defense of the dignity of every human life, the foundational role of the family, and the gift of motherhood.
And for that, he has become the target of public shame, death threats, libel, and calls for the NFL to fire him.
Remember this is the same NFL which proudly boasts that it “honors and celebrates the broad ranges of human difference among us, while also embracing the commonalities we share, and to provide each individual with the opportunity to achieve their full potential.”
Does this “inclusion” include Catholics, pro-life Americans, mothers, and those who hold to traditional moral beliefs?
If so, the NFL has an obligation to stand by Butker and not cave to the demands of the radical left to punish him for speaking about his beliefs.
We’ve begun a petition to the NFL to show them that many Catholics - and NFL fans - agree with Butker’s traditional beliefs.

Any attempts to cancel Harrison Butker would send a signal to millions of Christian football fans that they are not welcome in the NFL. It’s time to stand up against people who want to silence Christian voices. In fact, Butker reminded us of an important truth in his speech: “As members of the Church founded by Jesus Christ, it is our duty and ultimately privilege to be authentically and unapologetically Catholic. Our Catholic faith has always been countercultural.” Harrison Butker has shown incredible courage in defense of our Catholic faith… I consider it an honor to stand with him.
I hope you will join me in signing this petition
