There are grim anniversaries in the history of our nation, and today is one of them. Together, we are helping to right the wrong that began 52 years ago. It is a good time to look back on the victories over pro-abortion extremism that have been achieved in the last year, made possible by the 2022 Dobbs decision, which overturned the infamous and overreaching Roe v. Wade decision of 1973.

 

In less than 3 months:

  • Florida rejected Amendment 4, keeping our constitution free of a deceptive and extreme abortion amendment that would have allowed unregulated elective abortions throughout pregnancy, even allowing for taxpayer-funding of abortion and removing the parental consent requirement for minors. It was an uphill battle, with pro-abortion extremists bankrolling their efforts to the tune of $120 million dollars. We were outspent exponentially, but with the help of Governor DeSantis, we were able to get the word out … the truth out … about the dangers of Amendment 4. And it wasn’t just TV ads – it was the grassroots army of more than 24,000 social media followers and thousands more who knocked on doors, made phone calls, hosted local events, and prayed for the defeat of Amendment 4.

 

  • South Dakota and Nebraska followed Florida’s lead, rejecting extreme abortion measures on Election Night. In fact, not only did Nebraska voters reject a pro-abortion Amendment, on the same ballot they also approved an amendment requiring that “unborn children shall be protected from abortion in the second and third trimesters,” with exceptions for incest and sexual assault or emergencies.

 

  • More recently, Governor Ron DeSantis appointed Florida’s Attorney General Ashley Moody to the United States Senate! Both of these strong pro-life leaders worked at every turn to expose Amendment 4’s deceptions and dangers. We in Florida are blessed to be led and represented by leaders like DeSantis and Moody who had the courage and fortitude to say “not on my watch” – when we faced the threat of Amendment 4.


     

  • More fantastic news… Governor DeSantis also stated that he will appoint his Chief of Staff, James Uthmeier, to fill Moody’s shoes as Florida’s next Attorney General. Uthmeier is not only a brilliant attorney and strategist, he works tirelessly to promote a culture of life and to make Florida a national leader in the great cause of protecting unborn children.

     

  • On the national level, Kamala Harris sought to make the entire 2024 election a referendum on abortion, with members of her party up and down the ticket making abortion without any real limits a central tenant of their campaigns. Harris even proudly made a “first ever” campaign stop at an abortion clinic. Their “all abortion, all the time” campaign was a creepy, sick and cynical ploy that was overwhelmingly rejected by voters across America. But you’ll never get that analysis from members of the legacy media – the other big losers in the 2024 elections – which proved themselves to be partisans on the side of Planned Parenthood, the ACLU, George Soros and the other merchants of death who bankrolled Amendment 4, and similar amendments across America.

 

  • Since the inauguration of Donald Trump two days ago, an abortion access site launched by the Biden administration after the fall of Roe, has disappeared.

 

To be certain, we have seen many victories over pro-abortion extremism in the last year. But the threat remains, and we must remain vigilant, because our opponents aren’t going away.

“We will continue to fight like hell”

“This fight is far from over”

Whether they once again take the fight to the ballot, or to the halls of government, we must rally our grassroots army and take the fight to them to defeat them.

 

Together, we defeated their radical amendment. And together, we will defeat their radical agenda.
